The Global Burden of Disease, a study from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) and published in the The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal, shows that while deaths due to diarrhea have reduced substantially, the incidence of the disease in children has not reduced nearly as fast. As a result, diarrhea still causes a significant amount of disability that mostly affects children under 5 years old. Read the full article
