This case study shares how PATH and partners successfully advocated for national policies in support of human milk banks in South Africa.  

Breastmilk is the ideal nourishment to help children grow and protect them against disease. Human milk banks provide an option for infants who cannot breastfeed for reasons such as prematurity, low birth weight, maternal illness, or being orphaned.
