Launched at the 71st World Health Assembly, the Nurturing Care Framework provides an evidence-based roadmap for action and outlines how early childhood development (ECD) policies and services can support parents, families, other caregivers and communities in providing nurturing care for young children to help them reach their full potential. Like diarrheal disease, ECD requires an integrated approach, combining health, nutrition, and other tools that support physical and cognitive growth and development.
