At USAID's Child Survival Call to Action event on June 14-15, leaders in global health made unprecented commitments to defeat leading child killers by issuing a Declaration on Scaling-up Treatment of Diarrhea and Pneumonia. The Declaration comes on the heels of a new report issues by UNICEF that also calls for urgent action: Pneumonia and diarrhoea: Tackling the deadliest diseases for the world’s poorest children.
